NYC SIGNING THIS WEEKEND
This Saturday at the Puck building (293 Lafayette) in NYC I'll be hanging out and signing books with SpeedBump cartoonist
Dave Coverly. He is a total favorite of mine-- see http://www.speedbump.com/.

There will be tables and tables of cartoonists, graphic novelists and comic book artists to check out--come explore.

We will be up on the SEVENTH FLOOR (in the "Skylight Ballroom"). The table number is S55. There are actually only two
floors-- one and seven. Go figure.

This event is a fundraiser for the Museum of Cartooning and Comic Book Art. The entry fee is $5. Check out the schedule.
Luminaries like Lynda Barry will be there on Friday night. Much more info at http://www.moccany.org/artfest-main.html

JUST IN TIME FOR THE RECESSION-- GORGEOUS COLOR PRINTS FOR $25

Beautiful color prints of any strip you want on nice thick rag paper are now available! They are spiffy! I'm really impressed
by the job my syndicate has done to make these.

Go to http://store.kingfeatures.com/en-us/prints/ and choose "Rhymes With Orange" in the drop down menu. This
direct method is available for prints done in the last year. For older prints, contact kfsreprint@hearstsc.com. (Give the
date and a brief description of the strip. )

Four weeks ago, I went on vacation for a friend's 40th birthday. While I was basking in the shade lathered in 70 spf
sunscreen (we redheads have to be careful), my talented cartoonist pal Suzy Becker took over the strip for the week. Her
work will start this coming Monday. To see more of what she does (and she does a lot!), check out http://www.suzybecker.com/index.php?page=homepage

So even though the newspaper says I'm gone, I'm actually right here.

When I was gone four weeks ago, my dog Rocky went to a spa. Which is to say, he went to my parents house, where he is
coddled beyond his wildest dreams. There are hamburger patties to eat, a one hour romp every morning, and play dates
with neighborhood dogs galore. But after one fun-packed day, Rocky went out for his evening constitutional and didn't
return home. My parents went on worried hourly patrols for the remainder of the night. Where can a ninety pound Half
Bernese Mountain Dog/Half Colllie hide?

Fear not, kind reader. He got stuck in the garage across the street at Sam and Blueberry's house and slept peacefully in my
parent's neighbor's mint condition Mazda Miata.

Take care everyone!
