Rhymes With Orange Newsletter #19 - December 2005

Of Pigs and Ponies

Hi folks!

Queens and kings commission artists to paint their portraits. I am
happy to report that I am joining that cadre of elite artists with my
very own commission-- a portrait of a family of four...Guinea Pigs.

Of, my neighbors assure me, VERY royal lineage. I met them last
weeks. Squeaky little buggers, but quite cute.

In Rhymes With Orange news, the new colored cartoons from my fall Open
Studios event are now up in the "Stuff For Sale" section of my
website. Just in time for last minute holiday shopping.

On the homefront, we welcome a new member to the family. He's got a
big nose, long hairy legs and an underwear fetish. Just my type! His
name is Rocky, and he is half Burnese Mountain Dog, half Collie and
half pony mix. An eighty pound, fourteen month old bundle of joy.

He is a welcome addition after we lost our beloved 16.5 year old
husky/pitbull mix in the fall.

Rocky comes from an outfit that does great work in Worchester, MA
called NEADS, which stands for National Education For Assistance Dog
Services. They train dogs for deaf and disabled people. He is what
they call "A fabulous flunkie" out of the program. When we asked how
he flunked, they explained, "he's a lover, not a worker." He's been
here now for just a week, and has made himself very comfortable.

Have a very happy holiday.
